Baton Rouge witnesses killing of three Police Officers
An officer from the office of Sheriff and two officers from the Police Department of city were killed when reacting to gunfire reports on the Sunday morning.
Montrell Jackson, a married man, 32 years old who has a 4 months old son and Matthew Gerald, married man, 41 years old who has two children were the city police officers.
Mr Jackson who has over 10 years of expertise in the veteran force is claimed a ‘gentle giant’ recently wrote a post on his facebook page sharing that he was emotionally and physically vexed and that it is difficult to be a black man and a police officer.
He shared that, because of uniform he was treated like a treat, also, sometimes he received ugly looks and said, “I can swear that I love the city so much but I can’t say if the city is in love with me.”
Gerald, a married man who is a father of two children recently joined the force before few month after his service as Blackhawk crew cheif in the Marines army.
He provided service for 3 Iraq tours and by his ex-collegaues, he was termed as a person who is made for serving the people.
Me Gerald also celebrated his 4th wedding anniversary with wife Dechia just before two weeks. He has shared posts and pictures on the social media sharing the moments.
The 3rd victim of the killing was Brad Garafola, 45 years old who is a father of four children and had given service as Deputy in Sheriff with Office of East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff and he has worked for more than 24 years.
