In an interview with famous journalist, Anupama Chopra, Anushka Sharma was asked about the raped woman comment and she gave a diplomatic answer.
Salman got involved in a controversy after he said during a media interaction that he felt like a “raped woman” walking out of a ring in his role as a wrestler in his upcoming film “Sultan”. However,He later said, “I don’t think I should have” and explained that he found it hard to walk. This led to strong reactions from the National Commission for Women (NCW) as well as the Shiv Sena. The NCW even asked the actor to render a public apology and has now summoned him on July 8.

recently conducted IIFA awards ceremony in Madrid, the makers of Sultan have reportedly decided to go slow with Sultan’s promotions and minimise bhai’s interactions with the media. According to a report in Mid-Day, a source close to the film’s production said, “Salman and his leading lady, Anushka Sharma, were supposed to visit various cities to promote the film. However, with the controversy attracting unsolicited attention, the makers want to skip a few city tours and limit Salman’s appearances at promotional events so that he doesn’t have to face awkward questions from the media.”

She said, “This episode made me think about how each of us should be responsible when we talk even if it’s in smaller groups. You hear people say things like, “Oh I had a tough day, feel like I was raped.” People have realised that this cannot be taken lightly or the word rape can’t be used loosely which is the only positive thing about this.”
But when she was asked if she would’ve advised Khan to apologise for this comment, Sharma quoted, “I don’t know him at all. I have done one film with him. Salman and I don’t have that equation where we have conversations. I find him a little intimidating and the only interactions we’ve had were in groups.”
