News began circulating in the media that Ajith had purchased the BMW i8 Sports car with photos of the vehicle surfacing. However, sources close to the star have denied it outright. A press note, issued in this regard, states that that Ajith has no connection with the car in question.
The BMW was spotted at the RTO in Vadapalani during the registration process, which sparked off rumours that Ajith is the owner of the vehicle.
