Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular Bollywood stars in the world, and he has a huge fan base in all nooks of the globe. Expectations were sky high as Shah Rukh is joining with Kajol and Rohit Shetty for ‘Dilwale‘. SRK’s union with Kajol and Rohit Shetty have always fetched magic, and audiences expected the same from this flick as well.
A special representative of Filmdhamaka watched the movie First Day First Show in a premium Dubai theater. Now let us discuss whether the movie has fulfilled the expectations.
A typical love story with shades of action
Rohit Shetty’s previous union with Shah Rukh Khan was ‘Chennai Express’ which was a mammoth hit in the Box Office even though the film was not a critical success. To be frank, Chennai Express did not left me disappointed, still it cannot be considered as an ever memorable flick which will stay in our mind for a long time.
When it comes to ‘Dilwale’, things are entirely different as this time, Rohit Shetty has tried to tell a love story in the backdrop of underworld gang wars. The film begins with a flash back, where we will see the main protagonists in their late twenties. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are the heirs of two enemy underworld gangs in Bulgaria, but still they fall in love, as this feeling has no brain, but only heart.
Both Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol sizzled at their best in these scenes, and it was a sheer treat to watch them on screen. During this phase, we can see some high voltage action sequences which will pull the audiences to a state of Goosebumps. It should be noted that Rohit Shetty has crafted the movie in International Standards, and most of the gun shot scenes and chase sequences were portrayed in a classy manner.
After all those hassles, the two rival groups decides to forget their animosity for the love of Kajor and SRK. But things take a new turn as revenge falls in between. Betrayers are there everywhere, and they enter SRK’s life as well.
In the latter half, the movie shifts towards the love story of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. It should be noted that Varun is the younger brother of SRK. The latter part of the movie showcases the lives of these two young and old couples.
Rohit Shetty at his best
Rohit Shetty once again proved that he is a master in making movies with style, and this time, he has successfully blended some substance as well. The film is well paced, and there is not even a second of boredom in the whole running time. The comedy sequences and fight scenes were crafted perfectly by the filmmaker, and he deserve a special round of applause.
Top notch performances from actors
All the actors have done their roles impeccably well in this movie. Shah Rukh Khan was simply top notch in his character which represented two different generation. Kajol still looks ravishing, and the actress once again proclaimed that she is the best on screen pair for SRK. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon also did their roles well. Boman Irani, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever carried out the comedy portions with perfection.
Final Verdict: Dilwale offers a fun ride, and it is one such movie which is enjoyable to people of all genres.
