Varun, who has shed his guy next door image for the role of a vengeful husband, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to praise the team behind making the film into a reality. “The entire team has worked very hard but sriram Raghvan and Dino are the real heroes who made this film…Jai sriram dino#badlapur,” He tweeted. The actor added that the surprise element and thrill made him pick the project, which hit the theatres Friday. “Today is the day. All I can say is I did #badlapur because I felt you guys would be shocked and entertained to watch a film like that,” he added.
“Badlapur” also features Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte in key roles.
