Fitoor, the romantic drama film which is co-written and directed by Abhishek Kapoor hit the bigscreens on 12th February 2016. the film is based on Charles Dickens‘ novel Great Expectations. the romantic film features Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif in leading roles. the film released over 1200+ screens in india and 450+ screens Overseas, which includes 145 screens in North America, 71 screens in Middle East and 56 screens in UK. Fitoor released along with Divya Khosla Kumar’s romantic drama film Sanam Re.
The story revolves around Noor,the boy who falls in love with Firdaus who is the daughter of Begum Hasrat. Later when they grew up, his love turns into a sort of obsession for Firdaus who decides to marry a Pakistani man. Circumstances bring them together after their early separation in Kashmir to Delhi and rest of the story unwind from here.

Amit Trivedi composed the songs while Komail Shayan, Swanand Kirkire, who wrote the lyrics for the film. Hitesh Sonik composed the film’s score.
