Udhayanidhi Stalin – Thirukumaran combo’s recent release Gethu hit the theaters on 14th January 2016. The film is is touted to be a high voltage thriller, but unfortunately, the film has failed to meet the expectations of the audiences.
Udhayanidhi Stalin is renowned for his romantic roles in movies like ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi‘ and ‘Ithu Kathirvelan Kadhal‘. Through his latest offering Gethu, the actor aims an image break, as this film is a power packed action thriller. Gethu is directed by Thirukumaran who has previously crafted the successful ‘Maan Karate’.
The movie has Amy Jackson in the role of lady lead. Sathyaraj, Vikranth and I M Vijayan forms the supporting star cast of the movie.
One of the major saving graces of the movie is the music composed by Harris Jayaraj. Songs are well shot, and they are absolutely peppy in nature. In all probabilities, songs in this movie will emerge as chart busters in the coming days.
Gethu Movie Review
The film is locking horns with Sivakarthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan and Sasikumar’s ‘Tharai Thappattai’ in the Box Office, and it wont be an easy run for Gethu in the coming days.
