Udhayanidhi Stalin is renowned for his romantic roles in movies like ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi‘ and ‘Ithu Kathirvelan Kadhal‘. Through his latest offering Gethu, the actor aims an image break, as this film is a power packed action thriller. Gethu is directed by Thirukumaran who has previously crafted the successful ‘Maan Karate’.
The film hit the screens today, and it is getting a decent welcome from the audiences. But as per latest reports, the reviews coming out are not that encouraging in nature, as the film is being criticized for lack in story line. But everybody agrees that the film is impeccably rich in its visuals, and it will be a real treat for audiences who love magical frames.
‘Gethu’ showcases the story of a father and son who gets trapped in a very difficult situation. The journey of the duo to get out of these issues forms the major crux of the movie. Sathyaraj and Udhayanidhi plays the role of father son duo respectively. Amy Jackson have enacted the character of Udhayanidhi’s love interest. The surprise package of the movie is Vikranth who did an incredible role in the film. Karunas, Avinash and Anuradha have also did their roles well.
The first half of the movie is paced well by the director. He has instigated enough commercial elements throughout, and it will not make the audiences bored. The first fight scene which involved Udhayanidhi was well received by the audiences, and they welcomed this make over by a loud round of applause.
The director lost the grip in narration by the beginning of the second half, but he finds his feet soon as the movie nears the climax. Thirukumaran has succeeded in maintaining the thrill element throughout the flick, but many people were able to predict the climax.
Music from Harris Jayaraj is one of the major factors which will attract more and more people towards this movie in the coming days. The songs are peppy and it will not make you disappointed in any manner.
Altogether, Gethu is one such movie which is meant for thriller movie lovers who wish to see some incredible visuals.
