Sethupathi is written and directed by S.U Arun Kumar and Produced by Shan Sutharsan under the banner of Vansan Movies. the film features Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles. this film marks the reunion of Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan after the blockbuster hit film Pizaa.
Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of an inspector in the film, and it’s a very realistic cop story without any cinematic elements. A few sequences in the film portray the troubles faced by cops themselves.
The cinematography is handled by Dinesh Krishnan and edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Music director of the film Nivas K Prasanna has finalled the songs with Anirudh singing in one of them. There will be five songs in the film, including a police anthem, and they will be quite commercial. The sound will also be a little folksy.
Sethupathi is scheduled for a worldwide release in February 19th 2016.
