Rohit Khandelwal Wins Mr World 2016: Rohit Khandelwal has become the first Indian to win the coveted Mr World title at the grand finale of the 2016 competition in the UK, defeating 46 contestants from across the globe.
Reita Faria won the Ms World title way back in 1966. And, after decades, Rohit Khandelwal has won the Mr World title for India. We congratulate the stud for bringing home the glory. But the journey for Rohit, who works as model in Mumbai, was not easy. We know how he had to overcome the obstacles of getting into shape and depression through his Instagram posts. He had to contest gorgeous looking men from all parts of the world. Just one look at these guys could make you conscious about yourself, no matter how much your mother has convinced about how handsome you look. It was definitely much more than just looks that helped Rohit win the title.

Rohit Khandelwal has become the first Indian to win the coveted Mr World title at the grand finale of the 2016 competition in the UK, defeating 46 contestants from across the globe.
26-year-old Khandelwal, who looked dapper in a tuxedo by designer Nivedita Saboo, received a cash prize of $50,000 on winning this celebrated title at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre in Southport.
He said “I still can’t believe that I have won the Mr World title. Being the first Indian ever to win this title internationally makes me immensely proud and ecstatic. It’s a dream come true and am very thankful to the Miss India Organization for giving me this opportunity and guiding me throughout my exciting journey. My family, friends and my fans have been a constant support for me and this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my well-wishers.”

According to reports, the actor-model had graduated from Aurora Degree College and first worked as a SpiceJet ground staff, and then as a technical support assistant for Dell Computers. He went on to act in a couple of TV series, and audiences may remember him as Veer from Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Sreedhar from Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.
