Jagapathi Babu’s Remuneration: Remuneration for Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu for lending his voice to the giant character in the Telugu version of Disney’s “The BFG” is free of cost in return for a picture with legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg, the director of ‘The BFG.’
One of the Yesteryear actors in Tollywood is Jagapathi Babu. He acted in several movies as hero, but he got only average reviews. As soon as he started accepting negative roles, he is getting popular and grabbing many awards and rewards. Recently, he enjoyed the success with the film Nannaku Premartho and attracted the audience with his charm.
From the sources we heard that Jagapathi Babu increased his remuneration after getting such a wonderful and continuous success and he might not accept small and medium budgeted films. But, Jagapathi Babu himself revealed that he has agreed to give his voice free of cost in return for a picture with legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg, the director of ‘The BFG.’
Jagapathi Babu said “When they approached me, I was asked how much I will charge. I told them I don’t want anything but a picture with Spielberg. I wanted to work in the project free of cost but the makers were considerate enough to pay.” He also shared that he usually doesn’t watch animation films as he prefers reality over animation. “I’ve watched most of Spielberg’s films, though,” added the versatile actor.
Talking about the process of dubbing, Jagapathi Babu said, “the process had its own set of challenges.When I was dubbing, there was no picture on the screen. All I could see was a circle indicating the face of the character and its lips. I did not know the story and nor did I know how my voice would sound in the final version of the film.”
