Disney+ Hotstar unveiled plans today to launch the first two episodes of Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye when the highly anticipated six-episode web series event debuts exclusively on the streaming platform on November 24. Subsequent episodes will launch henceforth each week on Wednesday, which means the show will last for a total of five weeks. Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye is an original new series set in post-blip New York City, prior to the events of Avengers: Endgame, where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has a seemingly simple mission: Get back to his family for Christmas. However, when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy. The Disney Plus web series also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, Hawkeye debuts exclusively on Disney Plus Hotstar on 24th November 2021 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Hawkeye will also slot into phase four of Marvel’s larger cinematic universe, which has seen fellow OTT series like WandaVision and Loki make grand debuts earlier. Suffice it to say that connections to subsequent movies, just as with those web series, can also be expected.
