It has been officially announced by the makers of Raghava Lawrence’s upcoming film Kanchana 2 that the film would be releasing in theatres all over the State and elsewhere on 16th April as a perfect summer bonanza to movie-goers.
Already, many big films have been lined up to entertain the audiences this summer. Prominent among them are Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain, Vijay’s Puli, ‘Jayam’ Ravi’s Romeo Juliet, S.P. Jananathan’s Purampokku, Seenu Ramasamy’s Idam Porul Eval, etc. Yuvaraj Dhayalan’s Vadivelu-starrer Eli is also targeting the summer audiences.
Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 2, which has Taapsee Pannu as the heroine opposite Lawrence for the first time, has music by S.S. Thaman. Music director Anirudh Ravichander’s close friend and former band-mater Leon James debuts as music director in Kollywood with Kanchana 2 by composing music for 2 songs. The film’s promotional posters released recently have upped the expectations about the film among film-buffs.
Kanchana 2 will be releasing on 16th April and in less than a week after the theatrical release of Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain which releases on 10th April. Besides the lead pair of Lawrence and Taapsee, the film has a huge star cast including Nithya Menen, Kovai Sarala, Renuka, Pooja Ramachandran, ‘Jangiri’ Madhumitha and Nayantara in a cameo. It is also released simultaneously in its Telugu version.
