‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ has started being counted as one of the biggest blockbusters of the industry. However, even during the times of filming of the movie, the real-life character Kanchanamala had turned against the director RS Vimal several times. Now actor Siddique has come forward against Kanchanamala calling her love-life not so passionate.
This was to a major movie magazine that Siddique had opened his mind.
For the last few days, I was much irritated by the remarks, statements and pointed word of Kanchanamala. I heard most of them through the different Media. It was from that point of time that I started having doubts on the issue. I would like to insist that this is my own personal opinion.
Kanchanamala loved Moideen sometime in the past.
She obviously had to face much protest for her decision. At last, when Moideen was taken far away by death, she decided to live by herself. For the same reason she considers self as the ambassador of love. It is based on this thought that she holds to herself that she is making such silly and immature remarks in the public.
I don’t think Kanchanamala’s love wasn’t all that passionate. Loved a person, lost him forever and for the same reason, started living her life alone. It’s not like there’s only one Kanchanamala in the whole world. We have many people around us who have stories similar to hers. Then how is it only Kanchanamala is the ambassador of Love?
There are lakhs and lakhs of mothers who embrace more pain and responsibilities each day. They marry a guy, live with them forever giving birth to their children, taking care of them all the while, even leaving their own dreams behind. Isn’t that the biggest form of love and even better than that of Kanchanamala?
And now why did Kanchanamala decided not to get married? More than calling it her determination, but there are some things I would like to point out. Nobody would have been ready to accept a girl who has loved another person. And she was widely known as Moideen’s girl. You can’t shut your eyes towards that fact.
I accept that fact that RS Vimal as a director was making a movie from the view point of Kanchanamala. Most of the art works have been made in a similar way. It’s always the experience and the witnesses that form the centre point of story that is portrayed in any art form that is accepted widely. However it shouldn’t be copied as such to the canvas, a director has to have a crucial part in it. This is how an artwork will be formed. Unlike Kanchanamala’s demand to show the events that happened plainly as such. And that can’t be regarded as a movie.
It was due to this ego that she held to herself that made her to demand the script before presenting it for the movie. Wasn’t Kanchanamala becoming graceless with that? This reminds me of the movie Chemmeen’s 50th day celebration. I have never forgotten the way Thakazhi had responded to the movie version of his novel.
“Chemmeen novel got better when it was made into a movie. Its the Movie made the Novel to go widely accepted.”
It’s the ability to accept another person that makes an artist great. Even when ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ accepted tonnes of acclaims and applause, Kanchanamala stood back from even saying a good word of the movie. Instead, she tried to attack the movie through her remarks.
How can women as such earn greatness? Greatness isn’t self-proclaimed. It should be given by the people to a person. The people who deserve it will receive it where ever they are.
I further heard that it was she who decided to make Prithviraj the hero of the movie. As if, if she didn’t agree to it, RS Vimal wouldn’t have reached up to Prithviraj. She regarded one of our main actor as ‘Good for nothing’ and another as old. Who is Kanchanamala to say all that? It was only after ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ was released that Kanchanamala became famous. She was brought to the platform only because of RS Vimal. And all the credits go to Vimal, moreover he’s the one man behind everything and not Kanchanamala.
