Popular Malayalam actor Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil passed away on Friday morning at 8.15 AM at Amrita Hospital in Kochi after prolonged battle with cancer. He was 35. He was undergoing treatment for cancer.
He is the son of actor Raghavan, who also directed Jishnu’s debut film Kilipatt which was selected for the Indian Panorama. He is also a mechanical engineer graduated from NIT Calicut. he was married to Dhanya Rajan, who is an architect by profession.
Due to cancer, the actor joined the majority on 25 March 2016 in the age of 35.
He made his debut film through blockbuster hit film Nammal in 2002. His performance in the film earned him Mathrubhumi Award and Kerala Film Critics Award for the Best Male Debut. He followed it with leading roles in Choonda, Freedom, Parayam and supporting part in Nerariyan CBI,Pauran and Chakkara Muthu and he had acted in more that 20 films.
