Prithviraj Sukumaran Continues His Winning Streak Through Pavada
G Marthandan is not a shining name in Mollywood, as his previous two directorial ventures ‘Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus’ and ‘Acha Din’ were colossal flops. When Marthandan announced Pavada with Prithviraj, everyone was in a state of shock, as Prithviraj is quite keen about contents in the film.
Now, the director has surprised everybody, and he has delivered a fine movie with elegance and perfection through ‘Pavada’. Marthandan was pretty clear about what he was doing, and he paced both the halves of the movie pretty well. To be frank, ‘Pavada’ is not such kind of movie which has a great story line in it. But it falls to that category which will offer you a feel good journey through memorable moments.
The first half of the movie is completely filled with comic sequences. Prithviraj once again shut the mouth of critics who claim that his body language is not suited for light hearted comedy roles. His reflexes were simply perfect, and he literally carried the movie in his own shoulders during the initial moments. Later, the film found the fourth gear, and it started touching the borders of story when the interval reel began.
The second half of the movie was quite serious than the first one, but still it will not make you the audience bored in any manner. Through this movie, Marthandan has conveyed a good message in the cover of comedy.
All the supporting actors which includes Anoop Menon, Biju Menon, Asha Sharath, Miya George, Maniyanpilla Raju and Nedumudi Venu have done their roles brilliantly. Marthandan has given scope for everyone to perform, and they have all pulled our a decent performance.
Altogether, Pavada can be considered as a small movie with a large message. It has also umpteen numbers of fine moments which will make you laugh and think.
