Priyamani, the glam girl of the South is all set to do a horror comedy which will be the Kannada remake of Telugu hit Gitanjali. The Kannada movie has been named, ‘Kathe Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttanna’.
Srinivasa Raju has written and directed this movie, while it has Komal Kumar in the role of male lead. It should be noted that this is for the first time that Priyamani is acting in a film which falls in horror comedy genre.
Gitanjali was a huge hit in telugu, and it had Anjali in the lead role. The Kannada makers aim to recreate the same magic which the Telugu flick delivered in Box Office.
Priyamani will be seen in dual roles in this movie. “The film stays faithful to the original, barring perhaps minor changes to suit Kannada audiences and, of course, my co-star Komal’s improvizations in terms of his style of humour. Our characters are not romantically linked, even though Komal’s character believes us to be so for a while”, said Priyamani about her role in this movie.
