Performances:

Arya, Vijay Sethupathi, Shaam are given equal preferences, so as Karthika, who is more a fourth hero in this multi-starrer film. They delivered their best till date and excelled in individual performances.

Vijay Sethupathi’s mother and Jailer lived their roles among others.

Technical Analysis:

SP Jananathan takes the due credits for Purampokku Engira Podhuvidamai. Fresh story with pacy and engaging screenplay is an added asset. He has to be appreciated for bringing in the talented stars together and excelling beautiful performances.

Little more depth in the dialogues is appreciated.

Though songs composed by debutante Varshan are pleasing, they act as speed breakers on-screen, given that this story line doesn’t need romantic influence. Background score is apt and takes the movie to next level.

Analysis:

SP Jananathan has once again proved his mettle in choosing different scripts with a social message and has done justice to it yet again. He has to be appreciated for extracting performances and choice of crew.

Instead of thinking about the pace, watch Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai for Rebel in Arya, stylish cop Shaam, an allrounder fe-male Karthika and a hangman Vijay Sethupathy, who excels laughs.
