Rajini Murugan, the movie directed by Ponram has been the hottest talking topic among Kollywood movie lovers for the past one year. The film has created huge pre release hype, and this is mainly due to the fact that the director joined hands with Sivakarthikeyan after the much successful ‘Varuthapedatha Valibar Sangam‘. ‘Rajini Murugan’ has Keerthy Suresh in the role of lady lead, while Soori handles the comedy department.
Like all other Sivakarthikeyan movies, this film is also loaded with adequate amounts of sentiments, action and light hearted comedy. The film from its beginning tries to engage the audiences with comic sequences, and at a particular point of time, the main villain enters the scene.
From the point the villain enters the scene, the film takes a turn from its comic journey, and slowly it emerges as a mass masala flick. The battle between Sivakarthikeyan and Samuthirakani will surely satisfy the mass audiences and front benchers, but it will not create positive impacts in the minds of people who wish to laugh genuinely in theaters.
The storyline of this movie is not that strong, and it is quite predictable in nature. Through this film, director Ponram tries to entertain the audiences, nothing more nothing less. Both the halves have been paced well, but it lacks that extra punch required in commercial movies. D Imman’s music has worked out well.
Sivakarthikeyan was awesome in his role. Keerthy Suresh looked graceful, while Samuthirakani was menacing.
Altogether, this movie is the right cup of tea for people who wish to watch colorful entertainers on screen.
