Shooting in Malaysia must be an ordinary experience for any actor, right? Not if you’re superstar Rajinikanth. Kuala Lumpur is going berserk after superstar Rajinikanth’s arrival in the city. The actor is currently shooting for his film Kabali, directed by Pa Ranjith.

His last two films may have received a lukewarm response at the box office but this didn’t stop his fans from giving him a warm welcome to Malaysia. Not just that, his fans thronged the airport, waited outside his hotel and even managed to breach security to catch a glimpse of this superstar.

The fanatic behavior started right from the time he stepped on to the flight. The two pilots on the aircraft in which Rajinikanth was traveling, shifted the plane to autopilot, and got out of the cockpit to click a selfie with the superstar.

The best rumor is that he responded to a crying fan, who was distraught because she wasn’t able to see the star. To her surprise, Rajinikanth not only met the fan, but also posed for photos with her, making her dream come true.

After fan gatherings, the star visited the Governor of Melaka (one of the Malaysian states), Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob. The 77-year old politician arranged a special lunch for Rajinikanth and Kalaipuli S. Thanu, the producer of Kabali.

It is reported that integral portions of the film are currently being shot at Melaka prison. Rajini was spotted there in a blue T-shirt, which is the official prison uniform in Malaysia. Does this mean he’ll play the role of a prisoner in this film? We’ll have to wait and watch.
