Reba Monica John, the Midukki girl is all set to debut as a female lead in the vineeth Sreenivasan directorial Jacobinte Swargarajyam, the family drama features Nivin Pauly in the lead role.
In a recent interview, she was asked about her role in Jacobinte Swargarajyam and she says, “I play a medical student, Chippy, who is an NRI. My character is Nivin Pauly’s girlfriend and his pillar of support.”
She further explained about her character, “Chippy, born and brought up in Dubai, falls in love with Jerry. She moves to Kerala for her higher studies after her Class 12. The story is also about the long-distance relationship between Chippy and Jerry.
Sharing her experience of working with Vineeth Sreenivasan, she said, “I was initially nervous as it was my first film. But the team made sure that I was comfortable and never felt homesick. In fact I had a lot of fun on the sets. After working with the team, I am now aware of the bond they share and I think it the secret of success of all Vineeth Sreenivasan films. he is a good leader and a down-to-earth person, she added.
The supporting cast includes Renji Panicker, Sai Kumar, Aju Varghese, Sreenath Bhasi, T. G. Ravi, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Dinesh Prabhakar and Adrian North. the cinematography is handled by Jomon T. John and edited by Ranjan Abraham.
Jacobinte Swargarajyam is planned for release in March 2016.
