Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, the two biggest Superstars in Indian Cinema will not have that extra police cover from now. According to latest updates, Mumbai Police have downgraded the the security of 40 celebrities after the annual assessment of threat perception.
It should be noted that the security of producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has also been downgraded. After this decision, Mumbai Police called it just routine stuff.
After the assessment, Mumbai Police decided to give the service of two armed constables for Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan, as they have recently made controversial statement on intolerance.
Akshay Kumar, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt will be under police cover as they have received threat calls from various underworld gangs.
Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Dilip Kumar will be provided 24/7 security as they are icons in their respective areas of operation.
