Melinda Rose Woodward, the wife of British singer Tom Jones, has died after a fight with cancer. She was 75.
The Grammy Award-winning singer announced the news on his personal website andFacebook page.
“Friend Tom Jones’ girlfriend of 59 years, Melinda Rose Woodward, passed away Wednesday morning, April 10, following a small but ferocious fight with cancer,” the article on Facebook read. “Surrounded by her spouse and family members, she passed away peacefully at Cedars Sinai Hospital in La. His household and Friend Tom have asked for privacy as of this difficult moment with no more information is currently available.”
The headlines of Woodwardis passing comes months after Jones, 75, canceled an overseas performance. At that time, supporters didn’t understand why.
Johnson basically tweeted a record May 2, declaring: “As a Result Of severe condition in his fast family, Tom Jones has had to stop his performance in Mania tonite. He runs the organizers as well as the fans his deepest apologies, who he is many sad to disappoint. You can find no further details at the moment.”
Later, the “It IsN’t Uncommon” performer canceled different tasks in countries for example South Korea China, Thailand along with the United Arab Emirates.
Smith and Woodward met at the era of 12 inside their neighborhood of Wales, based on the BBC.
They were committed four decades later in 1957 at 16’s era. The two had one son, 59, Mark.
