Srikanth was once the most demanded chocolate heroes in Tamil Film Industry. With movies like ‘Rojakoottam’, ‘April Maadathil’ and ‘Parthiban Kanavu’, the actor captured a million Tamil hearts with finesse during those days. But in the course of time, Srikanth lost his stardom in Kollywood, and he is now aiming a comeback through ‘Sowcarpettai’ which has none other than the ravishing Raai Laxmi in the role of heroine.
In a recent talk with ‘The Hindu’, Srikanth unveiled his expectations about this movie. According to the actor, ‘Sowcarpettai’ is one such film which is fully loaded with humour, glamour and action. This hardcore commercial film will have all the elements needed to meet the needs of a common moviegoer.
“People all around me always wonders how I stay positive. But, I’ve got used to these lows. In the initial days of my career, I was an outsider in the industry. My first film got dropped even before it took off and Roja Koottam happened two years later. I’m human yes, and do get frustrated, but family and friends help me focus. Many people think that failure of a movie is due to its actor, and this is totally a misconception”, said Srikanth about the low in his career.
Nambiar and Mithran Jawahar’s Samiyattam are Srikanth’s future projects.
