Shruti Haasan has been signed as the lead heroine for Ajith Kumar’s 56th project, formally Thala 56. As we reported earlier, Anirudh Ravichander, who has been the front runner for the music composer, has also been confirmed as the music composer, informs source. An official confirmation is expected from the team very soon.
Veeram fame Siva will direct this flick and the film also has Santhanam playing Ajith’s sidekick to provide comic relief. The team has zeroed in Kolkatta as one of the primary locations to shoot some significant portions of the story. The pooja for the film is likely to be held on Tamil New Year day next month.
