I entered the theater the first day to watch Theri in Pondicherry only five minutes before the showtime. When I entered, I saw that the rafters and seats stuffed with Ilayathalapathy fans and them alone. Some were even wearing dhotis as it is Tamil New Year. The fervor level was insane as the general population cheered and yelled at the start. At that point when the film’s name Theri ran over the screens, everybody started screaming their lungs out. You know how these Vijay fans are! Don’t you?  The astonishing excitement of the Ilayathalapathy fans achieved another level as the actor appeared on the screen. Yet, as the film advanced, I got disappointed. Not only me, but all of them did. Here are 5 reasons why:

Director Atlee: I turned into a big fan of Atlee after I watched Raja Rani. The way he treated two basic love stories in such a reviving way had me amazed. He had joined affection, marriage, genuine circumstances and satire perfectly. Be that as it may, he drowned this ship. He is 50% of the reason, why the film is a flop.

Vijay: The man was not up to his level. From the way it looked, it radiated the feeling that he will be found in a different form from the trailer. Yet, change of looks aside, he was basically the same as he generally seems to be.

Film Updates :   Vijay, Suriya And Silambarasan Coming Together In April

Thupakki and Kaththi: By and by, two best films of Vijay are Thuppakki and Kaththi, in recent times. While Thuppakki was a genuine masterclass, Kaththi was additionally an immaculate commercial hit which I appreciated watching commonly. Thankfully, I didn’t watch the horrendous film Puli, so Theri reminded me Kaththi, a lot. And, as I am a Telugu person, the story actually resembled Rajamouli’s Vikramarkudu.

Hype: From the trailer release, there was dependably a mind-boggling buildup around this film. Everything has a twitter trend right from the First look, Teaser, Trailer.  Maybe that’s why I have got disappointed as the trends made me expect high.

The absence of Thrill: Keep in mind the main look of Theri? Yes, I am discussing the one where there are three Vijays, one closing the mouth of the other Vijay while the third one looks on. It was such a psyche twisting background, to the point that I was sure that Theri will be something else. Sadly, NO!
