Yennai Arindhaal is a Tamil action drama directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role along with Arun Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Parvathy Nair and Vivek in other pivotal roles.
The soundtrack album and background score for the film is composed by Harris Jayaraj. The film is edited by Anthony while Dan Macarthur handled the cinematography.

Sridhar Raghavan, who wrote the script for the Bollywood film, Dum Maaro Dum , was also signed by the team to assist Gautham Menon with film’s script, Thiagarajan kumararaja an national award winner is also credited for the screenplay.
Comedian Vivek joined the cast, collaborating with Gautham Menon after the director’s first venture Minnale. Amit Bhargav was selected to play the role of Anushka’s beau in the film. Trisha Krishnan was officially cast as another female lead of the film, collaborating with Gautham Menon for the second time after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa . Ajith’s salary was reported to be around INR250 million (US$3.9 million) for the film.
The satellite rights of the film were sold to Jaya TV. The film was released in February 5 2015.
