Furious 8 aka Fast & Furious 8 is an upcoming american action thriller film directed by F. Gary Gray, who is known for Straight Outta Compton and The Italian Job. It is the eighth installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise. The film features Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez,Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black in the lead roles. The movie has been planned for a 2017 release, on April 14.
The latest news is Vin Diesel confirmed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night that the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise will take place in New York City and Vin Diesel added that, “The first movie came from a Vibe article that was about street races in New York. The director and producer at the time reset the whole movie in Los Angeles. But the Vibe article that the whole franchise was started from originated in New York. So we’re finally bringing it back home, baby!”.
