Kamal Haasan, the Ulaganayagan of Indian Cinema is known for his straight forward opinions about anything and everything which is under the sky. Recently, he has made comments about the death of Rajesh Pillai, one of the aspiring Malayalam movie maker who made impeccable movies like ‘Traffic’ and ‘Vettah’. According to Kamal Haasan, it is none other than the obsession towards aerated drinks which resulted in the death of the actor.
Kamal Haasan made it clear that Rajesh Pillai was the assistant of T K Rajeev Kumar. During the time of work, Rajesh Pillai has the habit of eating burgers a lot, and he used to drink aerated drinks more than water.
Rajesh Pillai took his last breath two weeks back, and he was aged just 41. At the time of his death, one of his friends have posted in Facebook that it is his obsession towards aerated drinks which killed him. He also told that Rajesh Pillai used to drink more than 30 bottles of Pepsi a day.
Later, some of his other friends came to the forefront and stated that it is his hereditary illness of liver which resulted in his death. They claimed that his mother has also died due to the same illness.
Kamal Haasan also added that death of Rajesh Pillai is a warning sign for people who are addicted to aerated drinks like Pepsi and Coca Cola.
Recently, the Vettah crew had conducted a special screening of the movie in memory of Rajesh Pillai. The film is now enjoying a decent run in Mollywood Box Office. The film has Kunchakko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. Vettah is a stout thriller which follows the foot steps of Korean films. The movie is lauded for its impeccable narration and high uncompromising story telling style.
