According to the source, the project Annaatthe was supposed to be released during August on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi. Though the release of the movie has been postponed to the pooja session of 2020, the team reported that they decided to defer the statement because the shooting has been canceled due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

As per the latest report, the shooting of Annaatthey may not resume as there is a complete lockdown for the next 21 days. And thus, the shoot may not be completed before the end of April 2020 and thus will be affecting the release of the Thalaiva Rajinikanth starrer.

It is said that the next shooting location of Annaatthey is expected to be in Pune of in Kolkata once the things get settled.

Annaatthey will be featured by the lady superstar Nayanthara, Senior actress Khushboo and Meena as a female lead, National award winner Keerthy Suresh. The other roles will be played by Soori, Vela Ramamoorthy, Prakash Raj, Sathish, George Maryan, etc, etc. and the story will be scripted by the director Siva himself.
