Tuntari Movie Review
Tuntari with a group of IT employees going on a tour when they come across a sadhu who has some divine powers. On an attempt to test the sadhu, one of the group member asks if he can get him a newspaper after Dussehra, knowing that it will be a holiday for press after festival. Much to their surprise, the sadhu gets the paper and gives it to them. The IT members find some interesting events unfurled in the paper, which turn out to be true. Finally, they come across a news article that this group will win a five crore competition in a boxing tournament through their boxer, Raju (Nara Rohit). Raju comes across Siri (Latha Hegde) and falls in love at the first sight. After a series of incidents, Raju gets into boxing profession and the rest of the story is about who the real Raju is and who will the IT group support and will Raju win his lady love.
Nara Rohit as Raju is fabulous and you can see a new side of his acting skills. There is a tremendous improvement in his dance and comic timing. One can see a political touch in couple of scenes, where he mentions about his real pedanana. Latha Hegde is a debutant and has done a good job. She did full justice to her role. Kabir Dulhan Singh as Killer Raju has excelled in his role and looks like a real professional boxer.Venella Kishore, Ali, Shakalaka Shankar and the rest of the character artistes were adequate in their role.
Kumar Nagendra did a terrific job in getting everything right to suit the Telugu audience. He should be lauded for chopping thirty minutes of the original movie and making this a crisp, entertaining flick. Music and background score by Sai Karthik gels well with the movie. All the songs are melodious and hummable. Photography and action sequences are well conceived.
Tuntari is a 24-carat entertainer with good dosage of humor, love, emotions and action. It is a journey of a lover who turned out to be a boxer to win his love interest. Worth every penny of your ticket, go for it.
